Local MP supports B&RAC campaign for the reopening of the Ryland Centre track.
In a letter to a B&RAC coach whose training group has been displaced by the closure of the athletics facilities at the Ryland Centre, Bromsgrove M.P. Julie Kirkbride agrees that it is “a well used sports track and we desperately want to ensure that it remains open for use by people in Bromsgrove”.
Ms. Kirkbride goes on to say, “I remain very much determined that it should be reopened in good condition to benefit the community. In some ways it is a reflection of its enormous use that it has degenerated into this condition, albeit it is disappointing that it was allowed to do so”.
Club members are asked to continue to press Worcestershire County Council to make the necessary repairs as a matter of urgency so that the track can be reopened as soon as possible.
